Choosing the right litter for your kitten can be a little hit and miss.
Cats have their own opinion and the preferences can change with age.

Finding the Best Low-Dust Cat Litter

When it comes to choosing a cat litter that is not too dusty, there are a few options to consider. Here are some factors to keep in mind:

1. Clumping Clay Litters

  • Look for clumping clay litters that are labeled as low dust or dust-free. These litters typically have larger granules that minimize dust when cats dig in the litter box.
  • cons - they do clump quickly and need changing regularly.

2. Natural and Biodegradable Litters

  • Consider natural and biodegradable litters made from materials like wood, paper, or corn. These litters tend to be less dusty and more environmentally friendly.
  • Cons - while we live the idea of a natural product they tend to be lightly and flick easily meaning lots of cleaning up.

3. Silica Gel Crystal Litters

  • Silica gel crystal litters are known for their low dust and excellent odor control. They absorb moisture effectively and can last longer than traditional litters.
  • Cons - we use crystals and find the absorb better then anything else. They are expensive and can hold a lot of weight.
